Christina Zavell, JD has her BA in International Relations from Brown University and JD from Suffolk University Law School.  After years of practice in Massachusetts, she relocated with her family to Utah in 2014 and completed her Certificate in Conflict Resolution and the Domestic Mediation Certificate course at the University of Utah.  Christina mentored with Kathy Elton Consulting in 2017 and has completed hundreds of hours of mediation.  She specializes in high conflict family dynamics, including but not limited to initial divorces, modifications, parent-time/ custody and probate mediations. Christina believes mediation is a powerful tool for family systems in crisis or conflict.  

In 2018 Christina earned certificates in Elder Mediation with an emphasis on Adult Guardianship, Conservatorship and Family Caregivers. In 2019 she completed additional training in Eldercaring Coordination developed in collaboration with the Association for Conflict Resolution and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. These trainings elevate her education around high conflict family systems of all ages and dynamics.  She has a direct, no-nonsense but compassionate approach to family systems and probate mediation.  

Christina is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and serves on the Park City Bar Association.  A lifelong volunteer and community activist, she has spearheaded major community projects and served on several committees and boards including Summit Land Conservancy.  

She works with represented and pro se (unrepresented) clients. Christina has partnered with local attorneys who can provide low-cost document preparation to provide cost-effective support during a very difficult time.
