What is an AFCC Informed Mediator?
In addition to being a court rostered Master Mediator and Mentor, I am an active member of the Utah Chapter of the AFCC. An AFCC informed mediator is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (National and Utah) and is versed in the guidelines and best practices of the AFCC (in addition to the Utah Courts Alternative Dispute Resolution Office). As an AFCC informed mediator, I attend regular networking and education events as well as local conferences. An AFCC informed mediator understands mediation is a party driven process and the mediator is a third party neutral. We are familiar with the guidelines and best practices of attorneys, therapists and other family law professionals and embrace a multi disciplinary collaborative process.
